In post-pandemic life, organizations are adjusting and adapting to new work models, but they are still on a rocky road as the workforce reassesses how and why they want to remain in their current jobs.

According to survey results in Work Now 2022: A report on the state of work & where it’s going, Voltage Control, a recognized change agency based in Austin, Texas, found “85% of respondents said culture is a driving factor in the success of their organization—yet, describing and agreeing on that culture is a challenge. Over 60% of leaders said that communicating cultural values is a significant challenge, and 28% said misalignment in values is a problem.”

Co-creation of a shared culture can mitigate misalignment and help teams set the stage for longterm success. Design thinking can help teams step back to see other solutions and imagine their collaborate work in a new way. Anchored in a human-centered approach, utilizing design thinking methods in meeting facilitation and project management can empower a team beyond self-analysis and into a creative space that allows them to ideate, experiment, and create strategic change that increases engagement and collaboration. AND they have fun!

Presenter - Michelle Hobbs

Michelle Hobbs, Partner at Reframe Lab, a design and strategy partnership, will share her experiences working in design thinking with teams and offer some practical tips on creating a space for creativity and innovation even at a small scale.
