Position Summary |
The chapter treasurer manages the operational finances of the chapter. They coordinate the budget and financial transactions with other board members, and vendors. They assure that chapter financial practices are in compliance. |

Term: Two years Estimated Time Requirements per month: ∙ Attending board meetings: 1.5 hours plus travel time ∙ Conducting internal Audit with committee: 8 hours plus travel time (one-time annually) ∙ Record keeping and financial book upkeep: 30 minutes ∙ Collecting and processing payments: 30 minutes Budgeting ∙ Assists President in creating an annual operating budget and makes it accessible to members Conducts Audits ∙ Audits income/expenses and cash-flow on a monthly basis to ensure chapter's sound financial status ∙ Reports the results of financial audits to the board in a timely manner Compliance ∙ Ensures compliance with financial-related CARE requirements ∙ Ensures chapter is in compliance with state and federal reporting requirements Finance ∙ Oversees financials for the chapter ∙ Reconciles chapter bank accounts on a regular basis ∙ Oversees the accuracy of record-keeping and reporting ∙ Issues payment for invoices in a timely manner ∙ Maintains chapter tax-exempt non-profit status ∙ Maintains financial records electronically and in hard copy, as applicable Board Participation ∙ Reports all income and expenses to the board on a regular basis ∙ Reports on financial status of chapter each month at board meetings ∙ Attends and participates in all monthly board meetings ∙ Provides support to other chapter committee chairs and officers for financial transactions, as applicable ∙ Participates in other chapter events, committee meetings, and conferences as available ∙ Represents chapter professionally and ethically in all business functions/organizational activities |

Position Summary:
The IT Director is a member of the board and provides technical support to the chapter. He/She sets up new users within the shared Google Drive, manages website changes, and coordinates technical platforms including, but not limited to, G Suite, the VT Chapter’s website, and the VT Chapter’s membership software.
Time Commitment:
Term: Two years
Estimated Time Requirements per month:
Attending board meetings: 2 hours plus travel time
Attending chapter meetings / SIGs (recommended, not required)
Communicating with chapter leaders about routine issues: 1-2 hours
Responsibilities:
Chapter Support
Maintain and update the Chapter’s digital presence as needed
Connecting with third party support representatives as needed
Updating membership and website software as requested by other board members
Recruits and trains incoming IT Director, providing the incoming officer with digital access to chapter files and platforms
Board Participation
Communicate digital changes to other Chapter board members
Distribute project status reports as appropriate
Creates and maintains Google Drive digital documentation
In collaboration with the president, sets annual goals for managing digital channels
Represents the chapter professionally and ethically in all business functions/organizational activities
Attends and participates in all board meetings. Participates in other chapter events, committee meetings, and regional conferences as available
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Manages Vermont ATD social media accounts and posts content.
Brainstorms campaign ideas.
Monitor various social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
Understands the overall concept of Vermont ATD, including the brand, members, organization goals.
Engages with members and/or potential members and works alongside VP of membership and other board members.
Provide suggestions to management for improving member experience on social platforms.
Learns and becomes proficient on Wild Apricot our CRM.
Time investment: Approximately 6 hours a month

Gathers, edits and creates content for the Vermont ATD Quarterly Newsletter

Learns and becomes proficient on Wild Apricot our CRM.
Time investment: Approximately 6-8 hours a quarter

Volunteer Responsibilities:
Organizes the Vermont ATD governance document required by ATD
Annually evaluates documents for currency, and identifies items requiring updates
Leads the effort on updates.

Learns and becomes proficient on Google Docs / G-suite
Time investment: Approximately 4 hours a month
