Presenter Bio:
Jennifer Sassaman is a seasoned learning and development professional with a dynamic background in education, theater, and talent development. She began her teaching career at age 19 as a history teaching assistant while earning her BA at Bradford College, and went on to earn her MFA in Directing from Florida State University. Jennifer spent over a decade working as a college professor and artistic director of two regional theater companies, where she honed her skills in storytelling, facilitation, and creative collaboration.
Now serving as the Senior Learning and Development Specialist at Vermont Mutual Insurance Group, Jennifer designs and delivers innovative programs that support the growth of almost 400 employees. Her work blends creativity with strategy, and includes endeavors like leading high-energy quarterly workshops and the creation of a month-long engagement initiative around National Learning and Development Month. She is passionate about helping professionals unlock their curiosity, take smart risks, and build cultures of continuous learning.
Jennifer is also the co-host of the theater podcast READ MORE PLAYS and the proud mother of a brilliant 14-year-old daughter.
