Raise your hand if you currently facilitate virtual programs to eager, attentive, and patient audiences whose calendars are wide open.
Anyone?
Let’s face it: the human attention span was already incredibly short before the pandemic. Now, after two years of working from home and endless Zoom and Teams meetings, presenters and facilitators are at war with Slack channels, email systems, second and third screens, and cats (purposely?) hitting the escape key.
Instead of wishin’ and hopin’ for the good old days when humans could sit still and concentrate for 30 whole minutes, let’s instead add essential skills and techniques to our repertoire.
This program is designed to help participants enhance their virtual presentation skills to grab and keep the attention of the audience. You will engage in interactive activities including improv, whiteboards, non-verbal communication, and technology do’s and don’ts.
Presenter - Barbara Roche:
Barbara splits her time three ways: designing and facilitating workplace learning programs, executive coaching, and women's leadership communication. She is best known for blending her theatrical experience, Irish Catholic human, and hard-won leadership skills to help professionals become more effective communicators. From 2008 - 2019, Barbara was an adjunct lecturer at the Wharton School of Business. A native Bostonian, Barbara earned a master's degree in psychology from Northeastern University.
