PRESIDENT (2017 - Present)
"Real” job position: Organization Development Consultant, NorthCountry Federal Credit Union
Number of years working in the learning/development realm: 25+ years
How did you first get into the learning and development world?
My path to L&D began with a college major in elementary education. While a traditional career in the classroom wasn’t for me, my love for “teachable moments” stuck. Throughout a variety of jobs, I applied my educational background in teaching, coaching, and mentoring my colleagues. In 1988 I joined a business mentorship team, and this deepened my love of training. Following a variety of positions in L&D I currently enjoy a primary focus on leadership and organizational development.
What’s a favorite quote that helps to give you inspiration and keep you going in this crazy line of work of ours?
"People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care."
– Theodore Roosevelt
