How many years have you worked in the learning/development realm? 20+ years
How did you first get into the learning and development world?
My journey in learning and development started as a manufacturing operator. I was selected to train new hires within the company. As I advanced into management I coached teams in how to write standard work and train using the TWI (Training Within Industry) method.

How did you get involved with VT Chapter ATD?
I joined the online ATD site for resources and ideas. A few months later I received an email to attend a VT ATD mixer. I was so impressed by everyone I met that I requested to join the board!
Can you share your favorite Vermont ATD moment?
I attended a SIG which taught me about applying appreciative inquiry with teams. We did a great exercise of re-framing a problem. I'm going to use this in my job!
What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone just entering this line of work?
Small improvements add up over time!
Where can we find you when you're not working?
I love watching a good movie with my partner Gordon. I also have a very spoiled Scottish Terrier, Roark, who keeps me busy.
